His parents’ mini-DV camcorder in hand, James discovered a fascination with visual storytelling at a young age. In pursuit of this curiosity, James would go on to attend Ithaca College, where he earned a B.S. in Cinema & Photography.

James has since worked in documentary, narrative, and commercial spaces. His experience includes agency work, live video podcasts, and periodic stints in professional sports media.

Through much of his personal work, James strives to find flashes of brilliance in the mundane, broken, and discarded things that so often go overlooked. He holds a particular interest in low-fidelity recording mediums and their recreation in the modern age.

Away from audiovisual endeavors, James finds joy exploring his first love, music.
